Throughout the years I’ve shy’d away from wearing my glasses outside. It wasn’t until the last few years with the emergence of trendy frames that I finally felt comfortable enough to step outside wearing glasses. I have to admit, it has been quite the liberating experience! And perfect for those days when I choose to snooze. Being able to throw my frames on and run out the door instead of messing around with my contacts is a plus.

Sweater Dress with OTK Boots and Biker Jacket
Jacket, Zara. Dress, Dex clothing. Faux fur stole, Guess. Boots, Town Shoes. Bag, Steven c/o Nordstrom.
Sweater dresses are my jam. All year round. I’ll wear a sweater dress with OTK socks in the summer time yet winter provides some more fun styling options. Such as with OTK boots, leggings and ankle boots, over jeans, with sneakers…they can be worn so many different ways. Hands down the sweater dress has to be the most effortless (and weather appropriate) choice for winter dressing. Need I mention they are my go-to for those days when I opt to hit the snooze button one too many times and need to run out of the house for work in less than 20 minutes.
While I typically dress these down, having a faux fur stole as cute as this one sitting around in my closet made it difficult to do so inspiring me to play up the feminine side of things. But of course I couldn’t help but be my rebellious self and opted for a biker jacket instead of a classy button down coat.
What’s your favourite way of styling sweater dresses? I’d love to know!

Why I’m Digging the Ripped Jeans with Fishnets Trend
Jacket, Zara. Iron Maiden concert tee. Jeans, Buffalo. Clutch, Steven c/o Nordstrom. Heels, Aldo. Fishnets, bebe. Rings, Child of Wild.
No word of a lie, I used to rock fishnets under bottoms with stilettos back in the day when it was such a foreign concept that I’d get sarcastic remarks like ‘are you wearing those underneath your pants for warmth?’ While I clearly wasn’t wearing hosiery with holes under my jeans for warmth, I enjoyed the subtle hint of fishnet that peeked through from below the hem of the pant with a nice stiletto. Although I must admit this trend does look a lot more edgier when worn with ripped jeans.
Furthermore, ripped jeans with fishnets is truly a look that no rocker babe can pass up. As such worn here with one of my favourite Iron Maiden band tees, a biker jacket, and leopard stilettos. As well, ripped jeans with fishnets can also be styled with sneakers to create a cute edgy look. However, personally I prefer to style ripped jeans with fishnets with an ultra feminine stiletto pump. It creates a rocker chic look that I cannot seem to pass up.
How do you feel about this trend? Are you wearing ripped jeans with fishnets? Would love to hear what you think.
