Sweater dress similar. Belt, similar. Lace cami, Smart Set. Sneakers here. Choker, bebe.

This grey knit sweater dress is mostly used for lounging around the house with knee high socks, although the odd time it does make its way out the door. I love its versatility; it can be worn with over the knee boots for fancier outings, or simply with sneakers if you feel like stopping off at your local pond before heading out to the pub for dinner like we did. Sweater dress = Fall staple. What are some key pieces for Fall you can’t live without?

Winter Blues

I’ve been feeling the Spring vibes lately and find myself being drawn to pleated minis with accent hosiery. The snow, however, is not co-operating and hasn’t let up one bit, hence my winter blues. But I have found a way to circumvent the cold somewhat by wearing everything short with over the knee boots. While I love the classic black and white combo I layered on some cobalt blue to liven things up a bit. And here I am now looking back at these pictures and really missing the weekend…

Freeze

Sweater, RocaWear. Jeans, Kenneth Cole. Hat, Smart Set. Boots, Zigi New York. Gloves, Old Navy.

 
And then it was cold. Very cold. So cold that I had to dig my Russian style faux fur hat out from hibernation. I’ve never worn it before in all honesty, simply because the weather never called for it. But at -27 °C (-17 °F) I was not going to mess around! Indeed I can understand why the Russian style faux fur hat is so popular out there, man did that baby ever keep my head warm!

We managed to snap a few photos (it was too cold to stay outside for more than a minute) on our weekly run to replenish our west Indian groceries. Kind of ironic I think; to be picking up ingredients that make you think of nothing but sunshine and heat on a day when you can literally feel yourself freeze more and more with each passing minute outside!
