Biker Chic

Jacket, Danier. Sweater, old. Jeans, Zara. Belt, Mexx. Shoes, Steve Madden. Shades, Ray Ban.

Boy was I ever fooled when I woke up this Saturday morning to all the beautiful sunshine outside of my window. It looked gorgeous and I could almost feel the Spring air….until I stepped out that is! -20ºC (-4ºF) masked by a ton of sunshine was the illusion. Sadly, I hung the skirt I had picked out back in the closet and dug out some jeans and leather. Not to say that I wasn’t pleased with this biker chic look, but I so desperately wanted to wear something more appropriate for what I deem to be proper March weather!

Stay warm and enjoy your day!

By looking at my last few posts I think it’s become pretty apparent that I am stuck in a skirt phase. I think I’ve subconsciously decided that I am done with Winter for the season and this look fortifies that. This work outfit features a vintage houndstooth skirt with a cobalt blue sweater. Wore riding boots instead of booties for a more laid back feel for dinner after work. Saw this spectacular sunset on our way to eat and managed to take a few photos. Which in itself was a pure fluke as it had all disappeared within a mere matter of minutes.

Wishing you all a fabulous week ahead!

I have never improvised an outfit before. Typically I plan the whole thing out and then throw it on in the hopes that everything will work. This look was completely the opposite. Having no idea what I was going to wear and being pressed for time I tried something new…literally grabbed random pieces not focusing on the entire look. Hence the result was that I settled on pieces I would never otherwise mix together. For instance a wool mini skirt, a tee with a cute little pink bunny on it (which I randomly picked up while staying in Buckhead) and my Wilma Flintstone pearls with Converse sneakers. I have to admit, the whole process was out of character for me yet quite liberating. While I was genuinely pleased with the random results I would love to know what’s your routine?
