Cropped Knit

Crop sweater, Nasty Gal. Jeans, Zara. Boots, Winners. Clutch, Nine West. Belt, Mexx. Necklace, Tiffany & Co.

I’ve just been itchin’ to wear my new cropped knit sweater from Nasty Gal for a few weeks now. While I had been hoping for some spring-like weather conditions, no such luck. So I had to settle for barely-above-freezing temperatures – nothing that a good parka can’t fix. And speaking of weather conditions, I have never seen so much fog out before as we did on this day. Looking back, I’m glad we shot the top when we did – because we got hit with another deep freeze and even more snow is coming down as I speak. Will it ever end?!

Contrast Collar Blouse

Blouse, c/o Persun (here). Trousers and Heels, Zara. Wooden bracelets, Mango. Silver bangle, Betsey Johnson. Skeleton ring, Nasty Gal. Purse, gifted. Snake ring, The Bay.

As briefly mentioned in my last post, this contrast collar blouse was crush # 2. I’ve been wanting one ever since I spotted a co-worker wearing a similar style. Now while crossing the border in search of one (how she got hers) wasn’t a feasible option, Persun was kind enough to fulfill my desire! The chiffon drapes beautifully; is soft and lightweight, and really comfy to wear with its loose, yet chict fit. And did I mention that it wrinkles a lot less than other fabrics? So it’s very reliable for those mornings when you simply need to grab a blouse and bottoms before flying out the door – without having to steam. Although be warned, if you chose the beige colour (it also comes in black) you need to have a nude bra on standby, as this baby is pretty sheer. Let me know what you think….

House of Illusions X Persun

Shirt c/o Persun (here). Boots, Aldo. Clutch, Nine West. Belt, Vintage. Sunglasses, Dolce & Gabbana. Wooden bangles, Mango.

I teamed up with Persun to show you a few of my favourite Spring pieces from their collection. While I’ve been crushing on a few different blouses for a while now it must’ve been fate when I found both in their Spring lineup! The first piece I picked out was this navy shirt for its versatility. The shirt can easily transition from winter to Spring by playing with the sleeve length.  Also by simply by pairing some leggings with it, as worn here.

At the same time I can’t wait for the snow to melt and warmer temperatures so that I can wear this shirt as a dress, sans leggings. This navy shirt also comes in black and white and is made from the most silkiest cotton I’ve ever felt!

The second item I’ve had my eye on is this blouse…stay tuned for my next post to see how I style it. However in the meantime make sure you check out Persun as they are running some great sales for Valentines Day!

Happy Monday!
