Blue Tulip

Dress, Bedo. Cardigan, H&M. Flats, Aldo.

Wore a long cardigan over an azure blue tulip dress for brunch a few days ago. I have never been a fan of cardigans until I found a purpose for them: to downplay fancy pieces/delicate fabrics. I also chose flats for this very reason. Mixing contrasting pieces seems to be the trend right now, and this look was just another variation I spotted on the runways this season. Another newbie favourite of mine is to wear a long cardigan over mini skirts or shorts.

Orbs and Oversized Pearls

Top, Vivienne Westwood. Trousers, H&M. Belt, Mexx. Necklace, self-made.

I was inspired by Chanel’s SS 2014 oversized pearls necklaces so I quickly threw together my own version. Used a leftover pearl that I had lying around from when I had my Wilma Flintstone pearls resized, and a contrasting stone bead. As the Chanel necklace was still fresh on my mind I thought it would be the perfect compliment to all the orbs in this Vivienne Westwood sweatshirt. So I quickly threw this one together to complete the look.

Enter The 36 Chambers

Crop, Forever XXI. Cardigan, Skirt, H&M. Heels, Zara. Shades, Ray Ban.

I had a few minutes to kill while waiting for a friend so I headed over to Forever 21 to pick up another flannel shirt. While browsing I randomly spotted this one, may I emphasize one, Wu-Tang crop top laying nearby fallen off a hanger. I didn’t know where this top came from, nor was I able to find more, but back in the day Wu-Tang was it for me. So it didn’t even matter that the top was 2 sizes too big. Overwhelmed by feelings of nostalgia I couldn’t help but dig out a pair of bamboo hoops for this look. Had these back in the day when Enter The 36 Chambers was madly on repeat.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
