We’ve been incredibly lucky these past few weeks in Toronto, with the summer weather still in full swing even though Fall is just around the corner. I bought this cutout dress at the beginning of the summer. While I had brought it along with me on three separate occasions hoping to shoot it, neither of those worked out. However, thanks to these extended summer days I finally had a chance to wear and shoot it last week on our way out for Indian food.
Although I am kinda glad for the delay. Particularly because I’ve only had these pretty blush sandals from Lulus for a few days and otherwise would not have had the opportunity to shoot them together. I’m really digging the whole pastel kinda vibe and enjoying how the blush compliments the aqua of the skater cutout dress.
Well, here’s hoping for the warm days to stick around as long as possible as I still have a few more dresses I would like to wear before the season’s out.

One item that should be in your closet this Fall season is the military jacket. I’m fortunate enough to have one from a few years ago that I held onto, and I usually throw it into rotation around this time of year. Even more reasons to wear them, military jackets are everywhere this season and so I’m looking forward to styling this one in the coming months.

Another staple of mine for the autumn and winter months are leggings. When I saw this cute pair from Free People I was drawn to them immediately because of the cutout and button detailing along the sides. I typically wear leggings with flats or more casual shoes. But these leggings were just so cute that they deserved a nice feminine heel to compliment them. I’m really happy with how they worked out, especially with this military jacket for an ultra feminine military chic look.

I find it’s always a bonus when you can score leggings that not only look cute casual but can also be dressed up. Likewise if they are a statement piece on their own, for those days when you’re lazy but still want to look stylish. They also come in lots of other yummy colours for Fall (here). It’s pieces like this that make this summer lovin’ girl get excited about Fall. What about you, any pieces that you’re really looking forward to styling this Fall?

Magical Mystery Tour indeed. Sometimes the Universe aligns itself to create serendipitous events, and for once I got to experience that kind of magic. My boyfriend and I had planned a roadtrip up to the Bruce Peninsula (Lake Huron/Ontario) for earlier this week. It was going to be a laid back get-lost-in-the-middle-of-nowhere kinda trip (hence the mystery tour). Now here’s where the magic comes in…Merely a few days before our trip two wonderful things happened. First, I found out I’d be taking over Bloglovin’s Snapchat for part of our trip. Secondly, this beautiful tunic for a collaboration with one of my absolute favourite brands, Free People arrived. Never thought it would arrive in time for our trip, but when this bell sleeve mini dress showed up two days before we left I was ecstatic to know we’d be able to shoot it in the beautiful wilderness of the Bruce Peninsula. 

By now you must know that I am a total summer girl at heart, but for the first time in a long while I am actually excited for Fall. Bell sleeves are huge for this Fall season. And if the sleeves off this tunic are any indication of what to expect, then I am looking forward to every minute of it! This bell sleeve mini dress tunic also comes in a blue print, but I opted for a warmer mauve so that I could easily transition this piece from a mini summer dress into a tunic that I can layer over bottoms. 
 
I absolutely adore the boho print and versatility of this tunic and am looking forward to styling it differently once the weather cools down.
