Infinite Fringe

Top, Mexx. Skirt, (here), Booties, (here), Lulus. Infinity scarf, all accessories c/o Pinkstix. Sunnies, Ray Ban. Ring, Child of Wild.

Mixing chunky knits with a white lace skirt for an afternoon out hanging with my boo. I love the contrast created using the bold teal blue knit over the light and delicate lace skirt (which also happens to be part of a two piece dress). The knit you see me wearing is actually an infinity scarf but it was too warm to have worn it bundled up. Seeing as how I couldn’t part with it (due to it’s perfect pairing with the clutch) I styled it like a poncho. Which created a pretty neat effect with the fringe detailing of the scarf.

The Wall

Cloak, c/o SammyDress (here). Leggings, Dex Clothing. Top, old. Heels, Aldo. Sunnies, Foster Grant (Rexall).

A spontaneous afternoon of gallivanting through Barrie, Ontario. Couldn’t have asked for a better outfit ensemble than this vintage style woolen blend cloak from SammyDress layered over a pair of faux leather leggings. Talk about the perfect Fall outfit with absolutely no effort required to style. The cloak in itself with the three button detailing is such a statement piece in my opinion. Such that it didn’t need much else to provide a classy look. This is exactly why I styled it all black with only subtle hints of leopard, so as not to take away from the appeal of the cape.
Another bonus was being able to tuck my hands inside the cloak and shield them from the gusts of wind as my hands tend to get cold easily. Hence why I’m hiding out behind a wall.
I was really happy to collaborate with SammyDress for this post and was also pretty impressed not only for the style, or quick shipping, but most importantly the price point for such a piece. Have a look for yourself at www.sammydress.com.

Tribal on Graffiti

Top, Ripe (Winners). Culottes, Victoria’s Secret. Bracelet, Necklace, The Bay. Sunnies, (here). Bag, Coach.

Wearing a tribal print cropped top donated to the blog courtesy of my mom. Worn with an old pair of white culottes and strappy shoes. Ever since I can remember, me and my mom would exchange clothes. Sometimes she would drop by my closet and scan through the garments to see what she could pick out to wear. Although lately I have to admit it has been a bit one-sided in my favour. What’s really neat about these pictures is that my boyfriend and I ended up randomly meeting up with my parents downtown the day we took these photos. Which was nice as my mom got to see her tribal print top in action. Do any of you ever exchange clothes with your mom or siblings?

Happy Weekend!
