Been loving this mild winter we’ve been having. I cannot remember a February where I was ever able to wear a mini shift dress with practically bare legs. Usually at this time of the year we are buried under a foot of snow, if not more. As a result I styled a shift dress with a jean jacket and Converse sneakers with nylons for a laid back casual edgy look. Added an infinity scarf for warmth and a pop of colour.

Infinite Fringe

Top, Mexx. Skirt, (here), Booties, (here), Lulus. Infinity scarf, all accessories c/o Pinkstix. Sunnies, Ray Ban. Ring, Child of Wild.

Mixing chunky knits with a white lace skirt for an afternoon out hanging with my boo. I love the contrast created using the bold teal blue knit over the light and delicate lace skirt (which also happens to be part of a two piece dress). The knit you see me wearing is actually an infinity scarf but it was too warm to have worn it bundled up. Seeing as how I couldn’t part with it (due to it’s perfect pairing with the clutch) I styled it like a poncho. Which created a pretty neat effect with the fringe detailing of the scarf.

Enjoying the last few days of summer in true free spirited, hippie style. We planned on getting lost for the day along unexplored roads. And so I dressed accordingly: floral bustier, denim cutoffs, long vest and gladiators. To accessorize the outfit I opted for a pair of John Lennon shades and my beau’s bolo tie.

Although we spent the whole day hanging outside nothing seemed to capture the proper vibe I was feeling. (And wanted to capture in the photos). Having always loved sunflowers I have memories of running through my grandfather’s endless fields of sunflowers as a child. He would always cut some down for me. But that is a memory far gone for a city dweller. As we continued on our adventure nothing seemed to please the background I had in mind so I said to my boyfriend: What does a girl have to do around here to find some sunflowers?? Would you believe me if I told you that as soon as we turned onto the next road we came upon this field?
