Thank you everyone that’s been visiting my blog lately. Honestly, at this point it had become so neglected I was considering if I should even keep it going. Over the last couple of years Instagram sucked the life right out of me. Which in turn impacted blogging. Having a baby hadn’t helped either because I’m not really sure what “free” time is anymore. But I digress…
seeing your visits inspired me to get back on here.
So here I am, almost two years later, editing photos that I named cottagecore fairy forest dweller because that’s what they portray to me. My life in a nutshell. I’ve really enjoyed living in the forest this year, much more so than any previous year. I think partly it’s because I’ve finally been able to break free from the hold that Toronto had over me. As a result of the pandemic for sure. But I won’t get into that now. Another reason I’ve really been loving being a forest dweller this year is because I’ve discovered that we have hummingbirds. I bought a hummingbird feeder and would sit (for whatever time baby Lincoln’s naps would allow) outside and watch them fly around and feed. So these photos of me strolling through our wildflower garden is tied to those moments of being surrounded by hummingbirds.
As for the outfit, this to me embodies cottagecore fairy forest dweller. Summer dresses are always my favourite and I endeavour to transition them from summer to fall as usual. I already have plans of wearing this daisy print dress with a sweater over it. I love that cowboy boots are back in style this autumn season. It gives me an opportunity to dust these Very Volatile babies off and wear them again. But then again, truth be told, I find an excuse to wear them at least once every season because I love them so much.
Thank you for sticking around it really means a lot and it inspired me to write this post. Sorry for the unusual photo editing style, since my laptop crashed and died I’m without LightRoom but hoping to get it back up and running soon.
