Well I guess the title gives away what this blog post is about. In a recent blog post I talked about not buying maternity clothes (and my reasons for not doing so). And so in a way this blog post is a follow up to that. I’m talking about what I’m buying instead of maternity clothes. Naturally, I can’t survive off of
old oversized clothes alone (although Covid is really helping the situation) but I’ve opted a different approach for buying “maternity” clothes.
Jumpsuit here.
What I’m doing is purchasing regular non-maternity clothes wherever possible and just sizing them up. Furthermore, I’m opting for very stretchy fabrics to accommodate my growing belly. Case in point the lycra jersey jumpsuit I am wearing here. I could tell from the minute I received it in the mail that it would fit my bump and I would also be able to wear it post-maternity. The fabric is soooo stretchy it has no issues fitting my belly bump.
Check out this blog post for another example of a regular blouse I bought one size up. It’s a really loose style which looks great while worn pregnant and will surely fit afterwards.
I’ve linked a few similar more summer ready jumpsuit styles as well.
Toodles for now.
