This fall season I’m doing things differently. Typically this time of year I wear a lot of black and dark colours – and a LOT of plaid/flannel. But this year I’m going for a light colour palette for fall.
This feminine autumn look is easy to pull off and requires three main pieces. First I used a trendy button front tank which pretty much goes with anything. It was easy to transition this summer piece to my fall capsule as the top is a knit.
I opted for a blush pink skirt instead of jeans for a more feminine style look. I’ve linked some similar pieces below as the one I’m wearing is no longer available.
A duster sweater or maxi cardigan completes the look fairly well. Or alternately, if you have a light coloured biker jacket this would work well too. Add a pair of tan ankle boots and you’re all set.
And of course this look wouldn’t be complete without some gold bohemian styled jewelry. This moon necklace is my fave piece at the moment and I’ve been gravitating towards it a lot lately. Also happy to have found some gold rings in my stash which had been long forgotten.
So what do you think of my light colour palette for fall? What colours are you wearing this autumn season?
I think it is lovely. I don’t think the old rules apply anymore. Thought is starting to get a wee bit cold for frocks, but there is always sweater dresses!
