It’s been tough trying to stay motivated ever since January hit. The weather has been absolutely frigid. To top that off, my neck and shoulder has just been offside the past couple
of weeks. Making working on my laptop, or Instagramming quite unbearable. Aside from venturing out for coffee on those really cold days we’ve been staying home quite a bit. To avoid feeling cooped up with serious FOMO I’ve begun to appreciate the simple things. So here are a few of my favourite ways to make the most out of hibernation mode.
Nothing beats a great cup of tea at home. Find a calm and serene spot at home and just sit down for a few minutes. I’ve made it a habit to enjoy a cup of tea while watching the snowflakes fall through the window and it has been quite therapeutic.
Another way to enjoy your space is to step up your decor game. I’ve incorporated a few pieces into my home from Ikea to help me enjoy my space more. Nothing like adding some fun (and affordable) prints throughout the home. And of course whenever I’m at Ikea I always stock up on their candles. Sooo good and amazing when it’s cold and dreary out.
And lastly, have some fun in the space. Whether it be cooking, working on your favourite hobby, or simply sitting down to read, do it. Finding a few minutes in the day for yourself is always rewarding.
Those are some of the basic things I’ve done at home to make the most out of hibernation. Do let me know what you like to get up to during the frigid winter months.
