I don’t even know where to start…but what’s certain is that I admire any blogger/content creator that can navigate through life while successfully holding down their blog – and social. I clearly, am not one of those people. However, goals. To make matters worse I woke up with a stiff neck one morning which quickly turned into a spasm that spread to my shoulder then back. Rendering me pretty much useless especially with anything involving a laptop or phone for the past two weeks. But before all that we had a minute to enjoy some of these scorching summer days.
And as our lust for leaves reaches higher elevations we’ve been toying with the idea of moving. I don’t know whether it just comes with age, or if it’s because I grew up right smack downtown that makes me just want to get away from all of it lately. Even where we live is starting to feel too crowded with all the developments going in around us.
This feeling is all the more perpetuated when watching all the cottage reno shows at my parents place. I mean how nice would it be to just go off the grid. Have a flower garden. Maybe some chickens and a sheep. And get away from all the chaos. A girl can dream right? But wait – it feels so ironic to write this. My twenty year old city girl self would be laughing at my thirty year self prospecting for country houses. And yet here we are.
Kimono c/o Pink Martini. Dress, Winners. Bag, Nordstrom. Necklace, Enclave Gems.
Naturally for this hot weather I’ve been wearing a LOT of cropped denim shorts, crop tops and summer dresses. I’ve also worn my kimono out a few times. I find a kimono is great for protecting skin from the sun when it’s scorching hot out. They’re quite flowy naturally so you don’t get too hot in them and of course the light colour helps too. Also don’t forget to hydrate with water or coconut water when going outside. Hope y’all are having a great summer too, let me know what you’ve been up to.
