Freebird

Freebird. The lyrics resonate through my head as I change into something I actually want to wear. It’s become common practice for me to shed my work clothes after work. And the lyrics couldn’t be more appropriate for this day. All I want to wear is something carefree and flowy with a bohemian vibe as we prepare to leave city limits and head out to the country. This dress does me good. I feel like such a free spirit in it and it’s perfect for this day. Been waiting so long for this. For the warm weather. For new trails to explore. And for the freedom. “Cause I’m as free as a bird now…”

Shane bought me this dress in the wintertime. Of course I couldn’t hold off on wearing it so I played princess Elsa in my own Frozen moment. Thankfully for warmer temperatures, this maxi dress will serve well for playing forestdweller in the coming months.

Dress, Cardigan, Free People. Boots, Very Volatile (Nordstrom). Sunnies, Gucci. Necklaces, Enclave Gems. 

To complete this look I added another Free People piece into the mix, a longline cardigan I picked up recently. While I had a light coloured and long cardigan on my wish list for some time I had’t found the perfect cardigan for Spring yet. Not until I saw this one. The subtle fringe detailing is perfect for that boho chic vibe. But how can one not feel the bohemian vibes with a cardigan aptly named the Woodstock cardigan. Perhaps that got Freebird stuck in my head. Although the fringe is subtle enough to style with a more feminine Parisian look if you’re not feeling the boho vibes. The perfect cardigan for Spring if you ask me.
