Roses. Especially pink roses. Been a bit obsessed lately. But can you blame me? One of prettiest blooms out there with the most delightful scent….That being said I’m really excited about today’s post because we’re talking roses, beauty and skincare – plus there’s a giveaway involved.
I attended Dr. Hauschka’s aptly named la Vie en Rose event last month. The event showcased their new makeup collection as well as celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Rose Day Cream. Dr. Hauschka creates all natural rose based skincare products. Aside from the main ingredient for the skincare, the rose, other medicinal plants are grown in their private gardens just outside of Stuttgart, Germany. Because Dr. Hauschka harvests only their own flowers this limits the amount of products that can be made each season. I really like that concept because the product feels more homemade instead of mass produced – almost as if it came straight out of my grandmother’s rose gardens.
Natural rose based skincare sounds beyond delightful. I was also shocked to learn that one Rose Day cream contains 35 roses in each tube. Quite impressive. I received some products to try at home and I absolutely loved the facial toner and of course rose day cream. The rose cream is very rich and perfect for dry skin. Hours later the skin feels hydrated and unbelievably soft. Als loving that all I’m putting on my face are all natural ingredients and crushed rose petals.
Over the years I’ve strived to use as much natural based products as possible. So whenever I get the chance to tell you about a great natural skincare line I’m all about it.
