Floral Print Mini Dress

I’m very excited for summer and in planning my summer outfits I wanted to incorporate a few more floral prints into the mix. Although I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect floral print maxi I haven’t found one just yet. I decided to pass by my favourite local boutique, Lemonberry as they usually have a lot of cute dresses. Also had my eye on a Gentle Fawn floral print tank and was hoping to pick that up too. Unfortunately the top was sold out in my size but it forced me to look around for something else.

That being said I ended up trying on this Gentle Fawn floral print mini dress. I really didn’t want another minidress but I just couldn’t resist it once on. I love the short length of this dress. It is also quite flattering on a shorter figure. In addition, the pastel lavender is a fresh addition to my Spring capsule. In the end the purchase was justified by the dress being a floral print after all.

Even though I had already picked up the perfect cardigan for Spring, I couldn’t resist a shorter white one to complete all my Spring and Summer outerwear needs. After all, I do get cold relatively easily and usually like to have a sweater or light jacket nearby.

Because this dress is so fun and flirty I paired it with a pair of cute sneakers. These ones are from Geox and they have the cutest gold detailing in addition to a zipper on the side. Which I love to wear unzipped. I had also picked up this straw bag at Lemonberry and thought it would be the perfect accessory to complete this cute yet casual spring/summer look.

On another note, as one who can’t resist a trending haircut, I went out and got bangs. Truthfully I had wanted to get them done the last time I went to the hairdresser but chickened out at the last minute. Of course I regretted that after. So this time I went for it. I haven’t had bangs since 2009 and even then I couldn’t commit. After about 2 hairdresser rounds I grew them out. Let’s see how long I last this time around.
