Current Summer Beauty Faves To Get You Glowing

While I’m editing what seems like a gazillion cherry blossom photos, I thought I’d share some current summer beauty faves I’ve been loving lately with you in the meantime.

Not a new favourite, I’ve been using Hoola by Benefit for years. Although I didn’t want to photograph my worn down box so took an opportunity now that I restocked it. This has been my go to bronzer over the years and also works well for contouring.

Also loving Dr. Hauschka’s natural liquid lip gloss. Aside from the obvious in being 100% natural and organic, this lip gloss is very creamy and smells medicinal in a good way. I feel like I’m actually putting something healthy on my lips.

Ever since Smashbox discontinued my favourite brow powder + pomade duo I’ve been on the hunt for a new fave. And I found it in Plume – which actually combines the two into one tinted pomade. Bonus – it’s smudge-proof, 100% natural, vegan and cruelty-free. Available at Murale by Shoppers Drug Mart.

For taking care of my skin underneath the makeup I have a new routine for summer. I start with Dr. Hauschka’s rose facial toner and a few minutes later I follow up with Vichy’s Mineral 89 thermalizing water. Again, both of these products don’t contain chemicals and are derived from nature’s goodness, like Dr. Hauschka’s roses or in Vichy’s case minerals from French volcanos.

As part of my nighttime routine I apply Jouviance’s Contour+ along my neck and jawline using upward strokes. I never even realized I had neck wrinkles until attending the launch for Contour + when I got educated about “tech neck”.  It’s real – and I had it but just wasn’t aware of it. Since using the Contour+ I’ve seen a significant improvement in my very own tech-neck.

For the body, I am absolutely hooked on the Lovefresh Pear Lotion. It smells divine and I love that it’s a Toronto based brand. Next on goes The Organic Pharmacy Self Tanner which moisturizes and provides a nice even tan. The best part, it’s a natural and organic self tanner. Because you know I’m obsessed with organic products.

For the spring and summer I tend to go with a lighter more floral fragrance and I absolutely adore the Roger & Gallet Tubéreuse Hédonie perfume as it contains jasmine and bergamot, a few of my favourite scents.

I saved the Coconut Melting Balm by Jouviance for last because this product is quite the multitasker. I’ve written about the many uses for coconut oil before and this handy little jar is just that. Well except for the cooking part. This coconut melting balm can be used as a body moisturizer, lip balm, hydrating face mask, and of course a hair mask. It has a very subtle coconut smell and absorbs rather quickly, without leaving the skin greasy afterwards.
